About Us
Guiding the path to healing
when roads become rocky...
Recognizing that you’re not OK…is OK.
It is not uncommon to be challenged by life. Life challenges us by design and some challenges feel heavier than others. Though change is constant, we can’t “change all things”. Therefore, it is critical for us to find the balance between the things that we can control in our lives and the things that we can only influence. This makes mental health essential to healthy living and therapy a tool to achieving the goal.
Therapy helps us to gain the preparedness to face disappointment, emotional distress, trauma, addiction, and others concerns, head on. You have taken the first step by visiting our site. This is where healing begins.
About Chris Elliott | MSW, LCSW
North St. Louis-bred, St. Louis University-educated, and life-credentialed, Chris brings more than 20 years experience to the field of mental health. Chris utilizes mindfulness, community-based interventions, trauma-focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy through clinical social-work practice. Chris takes his educational background, his professional skills and his first-hand experiences associated with the struggles grounded in limited resources and its associated traumas, to create a therapeutic process that supports openness, safe-space, empowerment, and growth.
Chris recognizes that engaging in therapy is a big step, so he takes a supportive approach when assisting the journey to healing. Chris knows that everyone’s narrative is different, therefore, therapy is individualized to support the needs of the individual. Whether facing anxiety, addiction, trust issues, self-doubt, anger management, depression, substance use and abuse, relationship challenges, domestic violence issues or other concerns that challenge mental health, therapy is catered to you. Chris also knows that a need for mental health is not always associated with a particular diagnosis, that sometimes people simply need a safe space to sort out their thoughts free of bias, judgment, embarrassment and humiliation.
